Sirocco Energy panel - is a new linear wind generator for distributed energy production. In contrast to horizontal and vertical wind turbines, Sirocco’s wind panels undergo translational motion rather than rotational motion. This approach gives the panels a range of advantages, which results in Sirocco’s design being significantly more efficient and convenient for use in urban environments.
Key market problems
Key product features:
Energy accounts for 60% of total global greenhouse gas emissions.
Horizontal-Axis Wind Turbines (HAWT) cause vibration, require a lot of space and, in many, cases are noisy. Vertical-Axis Wind Turbines (VAWT) have not yet shown the efficiency necessary to justify their price.
Solar panels only produce energy during sunlight.
Low noise and vibration
Naturally blended into the environment
Easy logistic and installment
Global Wind Energy Council projected that renewable methods will capture more than 80% market share by the end of 2050. In 2016, worldwide small wind energy production accounted for 530 mn USD and Grand View Research expects it to reach 1,790 mn USD by the end of 2025.
At present, wind power in the urban areas is not widespread. Horizontal-Axis Wind Turbines (HAWT) are not suitable for the majority of cities since they require a lot of free space and create unacceptable noise. Vertical-Axis Wind Turbines (VAWT) demonstrate less efficiency and higher price than Sirocco’s design. Only about 12% of manufacturers offer VAWT with installed power capacity more than 10 kW.
First sales of Sirocco’s wind panels will start in the second half of 2019 after successful piloting in Ukraine in 2018 and internationalization of the product and certification in USA. Sirocco’s system will initially be sold at a price of $1 600 per KW, with potential price reduction to $1 400 per KW by 2022 as production effciencies are achieved. Projected revenue by 2022 is $113,4 mln.
Our business model is based on wind sites development and wind turbines sales.
For every 1000 weather stations installed, 600 locations with wind energy potential are identified and we believe as many as 400 contracts can be signed for Sirocco panels.
